Also, some small points and recommendations that you don't have to pay attention to. Read the plot in the advertisement, btw:

Cheetahs:
Males are very sociable and will group together for life, usually with their brothers in the same litter; although if a cub is the only male in the litter then two or three lone males may group up, or a lone male may join an existing group. These groups are called coalitions. In one Serengeti study by Caro and Collins (1987), 41% of the adult males were solitary, 40% lived in pairs and 19% lived in trios.
A coalition is six times more likely to obtain an animal territory than a lone male, although studies have shown that coalitions keep their territories just as long as lone males—between four and four and a half years.
Unlike males and other felines, female cheetahs do not establish territories. Instead, the area they live in is termed a home range. These overlap with other females' home ranges, often those of their daughters, mothers, or sisters. Females always hunt alone, although cubs will accompany their mothers to learn to hunt once they reach the age of five to six weeks. - Wiki

For this group, it would be more realistic to simply have members create characters and have their homes spread all over. There could still be a top liaison to the lions, since this is still fantasy, but they would have little power over the rest of their kind (which would cause friction down the road and would be good for plots).

Leopards:
The leopard is solitary and, aside from mating, interactions between individuals appear to be infrequent. Aggressive encounters have been observed, however. Two of five males studied over a period of a year at a game reserve in South Africa died, both violently. One was initially wounded in a male–male territorial battle over a carcass; taken in by researchers, it was released after a successful convalescence only to be killed by a different male a few months later. A second was killed by another predator, possibly a spotted hyena. A third of the five was badly wounded in intraspecific fighting, but recovered. - Wiki

Again, I recommend having one or two that are liaisons to the lions, but besides that there is little or no social structure. This added plotline will give these characters more appeal since they could eventually have to unite or come to a temporary agreement to help one another.

Whereas Hyenas:

Spotted hyenas are more social than grey wolves, but their groups are not as closely knit as African wild dogs. Spotted hyena societies are more complex than those of other carnivorous mammals, and have been reported to be remarkably similar to those of cercopithecine primates in respect to group size, structure, competition and cooperation. Like primates, spotted hyenas use multiple sensory modalities, recognise individual conspecifics, are conscious that some clan-mates may be more reliable than others, recognise 3rd party kin and rank relationships among clan-mates, and adaptively use this knowledge during social decision making. Also, like cercopithecine primates, dominance ranks in hyena societies are not correlated with size or aggression, but with ally networks. Group size is variable; a "clan" of spotted hyenas can include 5–90 members and is led by a single alpha female called the matriarch. Scientists theorise that female hyena dominance could be an adaptation to the length of time it takes for cubs to develop the massive skulls and jaws, and intense feeding competition within clans, thus necessitating greater attention and dominating behaviours from females. - Wiki

This group then, WOULD be social and united (maybe causing trouble for the cheetahs and leopards, as they do in the real wild). They would have their own territories and hunting packs and clan rankings.

Furthermore, Kopa is not really mentioned at all in the movies and it is assumed he left (based on what I'm reading) or died. Wouldn't he be more likely to challenge Kovu since any brother to Mufasa would be very old? I'm sure a plot like this has been done in fanfics or other RPs, because I don't know much about this, but I'm just asking.

And didn't Shenzi, Banzai and Ed run off? Based on Nuka's line in the second movie?
